This cloth, perfect for the medium sized table or altar, is a purple & black masterpiece. A black pentacle and Celtic border boldly jump off of the purple background, instantly catching ones eye. The edges of this cloth are tasseled, extending beyond its overall width of 30"
Altar Cloths are used by various religious groups to cover an altar. Christianity, ancient Judaism, Buddhism, and various forms of Paganism are among the world religions that use altar cloths. Because many altars are made of wood and are often ornate or one-of-a-kind, cloth is commonly used to protect the altar surface. In other cases, the cloth serves to beautify the rather mundane construction underneath. Covering an altar with cloth may also be a sign of respect towards the holiness of the altar. For magical purposes different coloured cloths may be used to lend extra potency to the spells being performed.
The Pentacle is often used in ceremonial magic as it blocks evil very effectively.
It’s direction is North and it’s energy is Female.
In the upward direction it is used for Protection, Blessing, Consecration, Meditation and Positive energy. In the downward direction it is used for Banishing and Binding.
The five points of the pentacle can be used to represent several things:
Five Senses
Human Body
Love, Wisdom, Power, Knowledge and Law
Earth, Air, Fire, Water and Spirit
In Tarot, the pentacle symbolises political action and intrigue.
