Handcrafted besom lovingly made with materials from Nature. Use to sweep away negativity and hang for protection in your home or sacred space. Made from broom corn, grown specifically for constructing besoms. Handles are made from pine wood and varnished for protection, with a leather thong threaded through the end for hanging. The besom's components are of both masculine and feminine orientation. The handle, a stave, is masculine in nature while the the bristles are feminine. The besom is an important part of handfasting ceremonies in some traditions. The couple jumps over the besom during the ceremony as a fertility rite.

Uses include: symbolic and physical cleansing, sweeping away negative vibrations, expelling evil spirits, defining boundaries, aspurging and purification. Brooms should always be looked after to keep from losing good fortune.
