19 cm high )O( The Horned God is the main god worshipped in Wicca, alongside his counterpoint the Triple Goddess. Numerous male gods such as the Celtic Cernunnos, the English Herne the Hunter, the Egyptian Osiris, the Hindu Pashupati, the Greek Pan and the Roman Faunus have horns and are associated with nature. All of these historical horned god figures were possibly related and worshipped by a pan-European witchcraft religion. When Christianisation occurred, the Horned God image was associated with Satan. The Horned God is associated with woods, wild animals, hunting, male virility and sexuality. He is considered to be gentle, tender and compassionate in a masculine manner. The horns of the Horned God are believed to represent his domain over the woodlands, and his association with the bull and ram, the animal consorts of the Goddess. His horns also symbolize the crescent moon, the symbol of the Goddess, and represents the increase in all things and waxing fertility.
