Odin, also known as Othinn, Wodan, and Wotan, is the chief divinity of the Norse pantheon, the foremost of the Aesir, and the son of Bor and Bestia.

The god of war and death, Odin was also a god of poetry and wisdom. He was hanged, pierced by his own spear, from the World Tree, and it was in this time that he learned nine powerful songs and eighteen runes of power and wisdom. He was also said to be capable of making the dead speak answers to the questions posed.

This cold cast resin statue embraces his grim aspects of death and war, showing Odin as an armored figure astride his legendary horse Slepnir. Roaring out a battle cry, he wields the spear Gungnir, which never misses its target, in one hand, while in the other he bears the Valknut, from which wisdom and knowledge are born.

Sculpted so as to appear to be copper or bronze, the statue is a welcome piece on any altar, using the image of the Norse chief of the Gods to remind one that in any struggle, ferocity is best wielded alongside wisdom.

The statue measures 9.75" in height and 8.75" long.
