A unique piece for the altar and home, this oil diffuser features an open design, with the oil tray supported above the candle holder by three slender brass pillars. Measuring approximately 4" in diameter, it is primarily composed of a base plate and a supporting ring which contains a removable glass oil basin. Both this ring and the base plate are brass plated with white metal, resulting in a silvery gloss that will boldly display your candle light.
Between the foremost pillars is the fine decoration of a brass plate, sculpted into the image of an upright pentagram. Representative of the four elements ruled and united by spirit and divinity, it is a powerful symbol with a rich history of mysticism and faith, perfect for your altar space. The brass will also help reflect your candle light, helping to add to the atmosphere of your room while you are conducting your ritual, and otherwise help transfer heat to the glass basin where your oil is place.
The entire piece stands approximately 5 1/4" in height, allowing it to work with tealights as well as votive candles.
Oil Burners:
Oil burners are an ideal way to infuse oils into the air, whether it's for therapeutic benefits or just as a natural air freshener. In India some 2000 years BC various writings mention 'perfumers' and 'incense sellers'. Aromatherapy has roots in antiquity with the use of aromatic oils. Oil burners can be used to diffuse the aromas of several types of herbs and oils including Essential Oils, Fragrance Oils, Simmering Pot Pourri and Simmering Granules.
Aromas can be used for healing, spiritual enhancement, ceremony, ritual, offerings, meditation, cleansing and creating a harmonious atmosphere. Diffusers used for spiritual practice should be devoted to that purpose and not usedn in any other context.
